1. EXCLUDED from the battle, David made most of his errand to the camp.
2. DEMEANED by his eldest brother Eliab, David focused only on the necessity at hand.
3. OVER-EQUIPPED in the king's armour, David took it off in exchange for the modest sling and stones that need God's help to function.
4. DOUBTED by Saul as incapable, David assured him with testimonies of how God gave him victories in similar situations.
5. DESPISED by Goliath as no match, David announced God as his strength.
6. CURSED in the name of other gods, David pointed out the Philistine's guilt of defying the Living God.
7. THREATENED by the approaching giant, David ran to meet the challenge with a well prepared initiative.
