DO THIS IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME

DO THIS IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME Main Reading: 1 Co 11:23-26, Exo 12: 1-14 Introduction Just before His death, our Lord solemnly asked His disciples to thenceforth observe the Passover feast in remembrance of Him. Up till then, it was observed in remembrance of the Passover lamb as an ordinance given under Moses. Several times, God asked them to observe the Passover, also called the feast of unleavened bread each year. The people themselves valued it so much that they instituted an annual vigil to mark the night in which they left Egypt (42). Anytime we partake of the Lord’s Table, however, we proclaim that indeed Christ is our Passover Lamb who died to free us from sin. We are free to worship God, free from the power of sin, death, the consequence of sin, and Satan, who controls through sin. What Did the Passover Lamb Do? 1.        It was killed and its blood spread on the doorposts to because the lord had said He would pass over Egypt and take th...

Ps Seth Asare Ofei Badu Remembering His Death, Expecting His Second Coming Pt. 1: Three Bear Testimony 1 John 5:8 – 10, Luke 12:35 – 48 INTRODUCTION: Water, Blood, Spirit as Witnesses on Earth John, the evangelist writes in his first letter that three things bear testimony to the identity of Jesus on earth: the water, the blood and the Spirit. Curiously, he did not restrict the testimony function of the three witnesses to Christ. Indeed the New Testament clearly teaches that these three also bear testimony to the identity of the believer. The testimony, in the case of the believer, progresses from the Blood to the Spirit. If anybody will be a true living testimony of Christ, and His worthy ambassador, he must cast himself on the agreement of the testimony of the blood, the water and the Spirit THE TESTIMONY OF THE WITNESSES Testimony of the Water – Water baptism signifies the death and burial of a person’s old self, and his resurrection unto a new life at the...

Spiritual Warfare on Lord's Supper Day

When the Lord laid it on my heart to preach this on Lord's Supper Day, I just went dumb. How do I relate this to the bread and wine...wait a minute,...blood and body,...bingo! These are affected in warfare! Then silence again, how? The fact that the congregation I was billed to minister with could number not more than 20 made the enterprise no less daunting. This is what we ended up with: The first reading was Revelations 12:11 - " And they overcame him (Satan) because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, ..." and maybe we should have read in addition 2 Co. 10:2-5. Touching on the two phases in which the saints overcame Satan: First by the blood, the set L/S wine and bread came in handy to place emphasis on how Christ never wants us to forget the emblems of our EXIT victory. Those can never be replicated. He has already won the victory that has set us free from bondage to Satan and sin. Bringing in the illustration of Israel's exit from...
