THE GLORIOUS HABIT OF OBEDIENCE

We need to be in the habit of obeying the right authority in order to be ready to follow the Holy Spirit’s leading more fully

Main Passage: Matthew 8:5 - 13

The centurion was so acquainted with Word power working through obedience that he did not see why a Supreme Authority like Jesus needed to be present on a scene before His will would be carried out. In order to have faith enough for His will to be carried out in our lives today, we ourselves must be very exercised in obedience.

Obedience is

Doing what you are told within the will of God, though it may not be your immediate preferred option.

Obedient Action is

1. Proactive – Carries on in revealed will - Luke 12:43

2. Meticulous – Does the work as if he or she is bearing every cost - Luke 16:12

3. Submissive/ Accountable

Obedience Produces

1. Growth

2. Miracles (or Extraordinary divine Interventions and successes)

3. Protection

4. Effective Leadership of the Holy Spirit
