HE CONDEMNED SIN IN THE FLESH

HE CONDEMNED SIN IN THE FLESH

The law spelt out what is wrong with sin and prescribed punishment or atonement, but hardly showed example of people overcoming sin. People were therefore becoming convinced that no one having flesh could fully meet the requirement of the law. They therefore blamed their flesh for what wrong they did, and sought to excuse themselves. Jesus came having same flesh as everyone else and met the full requirements of the law. By this, he demonstrated that the flesh is not an excuse or a reason for living in sin.
"For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit."
Romans 8:3‭-‬4 NIV
"Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil—"
Hebrews 2:14 NIV
"The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law."
1 Corinthians 15:56 NIV
