JESUS ON HOMOSEXUALITY
JESUS ON
HOMOSEXUALITY
Even though Jesus condemned homosexuality, you will not find
Him speaking directly about it, just as the Mosaic Law did not include it
directly in the 10 Commandments (Exod. 20:1-17). It is however cited as part of the sexually
deviant or ADULTERY-LIKE offences that were so self-censoring that Apostle Paul
said they are not even entertained among non-Christians (1 Cor. 5:1).
The Mosaic Law and
Homosexuality
In the expanded Mosaic code that incorporated specifics and
penalties, homosexuality is included in the following sexually-deviant offences
that deserved capital punishment or banishment:
- Adultery (Lev. 20:9-10)
- Incest (Lev. 20:11-12, etc.)
- Homosexuality (Lev. 20:13)
- Bestiality (Lev. 20:15-16 )
- Rape (Deut. 22: 25)
An adulterous mindset is basic to all sexually deviant acts,
and that is why when adultery is mentioned in the Bible, it assumes to cover
all the possible ridiculous, incontinent and outright destructive sexual acts.
- Jesus condemned adultery (Mat. 5:27-29)
- He defined adultery to include remarriage after divorce (Mat. 5:31-32; 19:9)
- He urged pardoned (not excused) a woman caught in adultery and urged her to reform her ways (John 8:1-11)
- Paul refers to the Lord Jesus’ s condemnation of adultery (1 Cor. 7:10-11)
- In further discourses, Paul asserts that the following grave sexual sins characterize those who deliberately turn a blind eye to the truth, caution and common sense:
b.
Men abandoning natural relations with women and
being inflamed with lust for one another (Rom. 1:27)
The author of Hebrews concurs that God will judge the sexually immoral: “Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.” (Heb 13:4 NKJV)
How All Sexual
Deviance is Adultery-Like
- They demean self-control
- They demean the discipline needed to settle down with one partner to raise children through thick and thin
- They glorify sexual gratification as an end itself (and therefore to be sought after wherever it may be found), rather than as effort in obedience to God’s command to be fruitful.
- They take the necessary preparations for marriage lightly, allowing a trial-and-error approach to an institution that must “be kept honorable in every way, and the marriage bed undefiled”(Heb. 13:4)
Jesus gave an indication of the time the end will come, triggered
by “the abomination that causes desolation standing in the holy place” (read
Matthew 24:15-26 and the in the Book of Daniel). Various interpretations have
been given to this, but if in our day we are putting what not only the
Scriptures, but all human societies down the ages have practiced, yet condemned,
in our law books, and officially recognized ministers? of Jesus (who stand in
the holy place) are endorsing a practice, which if adopted in its full
implication means the extinction of the human race, is desolation not upon us?
What are We Going To
do?
To start with, it is clear that the separation of the church and state principle in governance is
increasingly allowing state officials to create their own morality and rub the
face of the church in the dung! They are hurrying weak people, and us all
towards desolation. If they cannot govern without campaigning for the ultimate
destruction of the people they govern, they should no longer have the right to
represent me anywhere, until their morality suits me. I will no longer take the
processes of electing people to govern me for granted, and when new laws are
being drafted, I will look inside!
