Outreach Methods and Practices – COP’s Biblical Model

Acts 20:18-21

I lived among you,
As we send the pastor to live among the people so do all our members who have travelled to live in any community consider the lives of their hosts theirs to save: They do not just live there, they also live rightly, as models, as earthly strangers, showing by their lifestyles that they are transformed people.

Serving God in humility and with tears...
Our lives and activities in the community clearly show that we serve God, not ourselves. Neither had we come just for our benefits, but as missionaries, willing to endure persecution and share in hardships.

Proclaiming: (Announcing publicly or formally; to state something emphatically and openly)
The message of the Lord is carefully announced regularly in the community, as the population really changes constantly
1.      Public Rallies
2.      Laced Public Concerts and Fun Events
3.      Taking advantage of invitation community programs
4.      Billboards, Banners, Posters, Handbills and Tracts, not only for programs, but also with the message

Teaching you
Systematic and applied Bible teaching is critical in giving the saved grounding, especially in the midst of false teachings and with regards to the security, calling and mission of the convert: Time Table (Preaching or Teaching Plan), Scheduled Teachers or Mature Believers, Regular Evaluation

In public
In large groups as in chapels

And from house to house...

To address particular issues, give care, and as alternative when public meetings come under pressure

 FOR BETTER FOR WORSE FOR GOOD Your spouse isn't in your life simply to give you blissful days. He or she is in also to improve your character by stretching it to limits no one else can.  Just like change of lesson at school, couples regularly give each other bad days without even intending to. Those are all providential too. That is why every marriage looks nicer from the outside, at least soon as the honeymoon is over. Over time, after you've learnt to trust better and let some things go, you'll understand that you've been forged for greater things.  During the 'difficult lesson' periods, consider first which aspects of your own character is being dealt with, and try and make amends, otherwise, you'll have to do remedials several times over.  You focus also on God's overall goodness to you, and make room to thank Him.
